Webcast Meetings

New York’s Open Meetings Law recognizes your right to watch your government perform public business. Now, you can monitor what we do at DCJS, view meetings in real-time and even recall sessions that you missed.

Under Executive Order No. 3, former Governor Eliot Spitzer directed state agencies to broadcast public meetings over the Internet. Although most meetings and most portions of those meetings are fully open to the public, certain “executive sessions” – such as those where disclosure of information would jeopardize the public safety, imperil law enforcement or unduly violate personal privacy – are closed. Below is a schedule of upcoming meetings at DCJS that you are welcome to “attend” by simply clicking on the link. Soon, you will also have access to archived webcasts of prior meetings.
